What: Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have just announced additional fall dates for their wildly successful ‘Raising Sand’ tour and will be coming to Theater of the Clouds Tuesday, September 30. With an all-star band led by producer T Bone Burnett, the Grammy-winning duo has crisscrossed North America and Europe performing songs from their platinum selling Raising Sand (Rounder Records) collaboration. The song "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)" from Raising Sand won a Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals in 2008.

Robert Anthony Plant is an English rock singer and songwriter, famous for his membership in the English rock band Led Zeppelin as the lead vocalist, as well as for his successful solo career. After the breakup of Led Zeppelin in 1980, Plant pursued a successful solo career beginning with Pictures at Eleven in 1982, followed by 1983's The Principle of Moments. Plant received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005 and the Polar Music Prize in 2006. Plant still actively tours. His sets typically include recent, but not only, solo material and plenty of Led Zeppelin favorites, often with new and expanded arrangements.

Robert Plant's voice and singing technique was very unusual compared to other rock lead singers of the era such as John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger and others, and these traits helped to define the unique sound of Led Zeppelin. One of his biggest influences was Steve Marriott of Small Faces and Humble Pie.

Alison Krauss is an American bluegrass-country singer and fiddle player. She entered the music industry at a young age, winning local contests by the age of ten and recording for the first time at fourteen. She signed with Rounder Records in 1985 and released her first solo album at sixteen in 1987. She was invited to join the band with which she still performs, Alison Krauss + Union Station (AKUS), and later released her first album with them as a group in 1989.

She has thus far released more than ten albums, appeared on numerous soundtracks, and has helped usher in a new interest in bluegrass music in the United States. Her soundtrack performances have led to further popularity, including the Grammy-winning O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack, an album also credited with raising American interest in bluegrass, and the Cold Mountain soundtrack, which led to her performance at the 2004 Academy Awards. During her career she has won 21 Grammy Awards—more than any other female artist and tied for seventh-most among all artists—along with numerous other awards.
