Winterhawks

The Portland Winterhawks are a major junior ice hockey team and two-time winners of the prestigious Memorial Cup (1983, 1998). The Winterhawks play in the Western Hockey League, the biggest producer of NHL talent in the world, and the team has a rich history that includes over 100 players who have gone on to the National Hockey League. The Winterhawks split their games between the Rose Garden and Memorial Coliseum, and provide affordable family entertainment. The team is owned by Bill Gallacher, with the business operations led by Team President Doug Piper. On the hockey side, Mike Johnston is the team’s General Manager and Head Coach.
