The Rose Quarter in Portland, OR is owned by an affiliate of the Portland Trail Blazers and managed by AEG Facilities. The Rose Quarter includes 20,000-seat Rose Garden, 12,000-seat Veterans Memorial Coliseum, 6,500-seat Theater of the Clouds, 40,000-square foot Exhibit Hall and the Rose Quarter Commons. Home to the NBA Portland Trail Blazers, the Rose Garden is a $267 million multi-purpose arena that opened in the fall of 1995. The WHL Winterhawks play in Veterans Memorial Coliseum, which opened in 1961 and served as the original home of the Trail Blazers. Veterans Memorial Coliseum is attached to 40,000-square foot Exhibit Hall and seven meeting rooms. The Commons, Portland’s largest outdoor public plaza, connects the Rose Garden and the Veterans Memorial Coliseum and can accommodate up to 5,000 people for outdoor events.
AEG Management at the Rose Quarter is pleased to provide Internship opportunities allowing students to learn through working at AEG’s Rose Quarter office and under a Department Manager or Department Supervisor’s direction and supervision. Internship positions vary, are sometimes “seasonal”, and are generally open based on the needs of the business and the levels of learning experiences we can offer to the student.
The internship is as much an educational endeavor as a work experience. The learning experience has been structured to expose the student to business aspects of the department (of internship) as it relates to the industry and promotes the development of broad, transferable skills.
All Internships are unpaid and for college-level credit only - the student must be currently enrolled to receive academic credit for the hours spent with AEG Management - Rose Quarter during the period of the internship.
Students are responsible for all of their room/board, travel or relocation expenses during their Internship at the Rose Quarter.
